I shouldn't be paying because COMCAST created this problem in the first place. I wouldn't lose my internet connection if they didn't change my device/asked me to reset my router:

I understand how you feel. Resetting your router/modem is actually a basic troubleshooting procedure that is being followed by many.  Overtime, as a result of our internet activities our wireless network collects and piles up what we call as data garbage which clogs our network. Resetting your modem/router frees up the internet signal trapped within this clogged network. Unfortunately, this basic maintenance procedure would also result to reverting our wireless network to its default settings thus becomes unrecognizable by our device.
However, we can get this fixed easily by setting up your network the way your device will be able to recognize and interact with it. You can watch me as I do that. In a way you'd learn how it's being done, so you don't' need to spend money in the future just in case you get into the same issue. Shall we go ahead?
